Hearthside was our own family’s home for many years, until our children grew up and flew the nest. The detached house is set back from the road and down a short driveway, overlooking Anagach Woods, with ample parking for four cars and a large, fully fenced garden.

Spread over two floors and sleeping 12 people, the ground floor of the property consists of a large entrance porch and hall; living room; snug; twin room; shower and toilet; kitchen and dining room; utility and drying room (with ample space for wet boots and outdoor clothing) and a single toilet. The second floor consists of a large family bathroom; shower room; one king bedded room; one twin room; two double rooms and a playroom.

The famous River Spey is a short 10 minute walks away and the centre of Grantown on Spey is just a short two minute walk, where on the High Street you will find a variety of cafes and restaurants along with our towns superb greengrocers, a newsagent, butchers, bakers and even the candle stick makers (well a fantastic hardware store anyway)!

When we designed and built Hearthside, we had a large family and we never wanted to feel like we were in each other’s way! Because of this, from the moment you open the front door you will find plenty of room. The large porch can fit several people all getting their boots on at the same time; the hall has room for Lego to be assembled, books to be read and the kitchen and dining area ensures the whole family can feast and socialise at the same time!

Hearthside is centrally heated and has a large, but cosy lounge with plenty of seating and cushions for everyone, full length windows and a wood burner for use during those chillier nights. 

Hearthside sleeps 12 and has 6 bedrooms in total, comprising of one king-size, three doubles and two twins. It is well serviced by a large family bathroom, two shower rooms and an additional toilet.

The two floors are configured with the downstairs having one spacious twin room and an adjacent shower and toilet, whilst upstairs there are two double rooms, another twin room, and a large king size overlooking the woodlands, a large family size bathroom and additional shower room.

We can also provide a travel cot or camp bed for any additional small children.

We welcome 2 dogs and children and the garden is fully fenced meaning it is nice and secure for your four-legged friends or smaller children. The garden surrounds the house and so makes an ideal location for hide and seek, ‘tag’ and exploring. There is a lovely patio and seating area with Weber BBQ for the warmer days and evenings.

For those adventurers amongst you, our local woods ‘Anagach Woods’ is right on the doorstep where you will find plenty of walking paths, birdwatching and biking routes. If it's the sound of flowing water you seek, then in just 10 minutes you can walk to the mighty River Spey with tranquil spots for relaxing, fishing, paddling and more walks.

The garden benefits from the sun for most of the day, and has hidden sun traps and well established ‘wild areas’ with planting to encourage a host of wildlife including bees and butterflies.
